Demi Lovato has a good reason for never addressing those bisexual rumours
Demi Lovato has explained the reason she will never address rumours that she is bisexual.
The singer said it is “safe to say” that she doesn’t want to put any labels on her sexual orientation.
Lovato told People magazine: “It’s something I don’t think needs to have a label: As humans, It’s just about a connection with someone.”
The singer recently split up with her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.
Lovato previously cancelled a gig in North Carolina over the state’s anti-trans ‘bathroom bill’ HB2.
She said she wanted to “stand united” with the LGBT community against such legislation.
The 23-year-old singer songwriter has been coy about her sexuality, recently telling Alan Carr that she is “not confirming or denying” that one of her songs is about sex with a woman.
The former Disney star opened up in Complex magazine about rumours she is dating genderfluid Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose.
She said: “Rumours are rumours, and people are going to spread them. You can believe what you want, but no, I was not in a relationship with her.
“By the way, love is fluid. Whether there’s been rumours with one specific person or not, that’s all that matters.
“Humans are humans, and when you connect with somebody on a spiritual level it doesn’t matter.”
Earlier this year, Lovato made a bizarre joke at the GLAAD Awards, saying she has a “bigger dick” than Nick Jonas.
