Here is where vigils are happening for Orlando massacre victims
A number of cities are holding vigils over the next few days for victims of the Orlando massacre.
Here is a list of events which will be taking place over the next few days where you can join with others from the LGBT community to pay your respects.
(Note: this is a non-exhaustive list of events which we were made aware of in advance. If your city is not listed, check with your local LGBT groups and community organisations. All times are local times.)
US
A Vigil for the lives lost in Orlando will be held outside The Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street at 7 PM tonight (June 13).
New York, New York: Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Stonewall Democrats, and leaders of the New York LGBT community will come together to stand in solidarity with the survivors and the victims of the senseless attack in Orlando.
A vigil will be held outside Los Angeles City Hall at 7 PM tonight (June 13).
The city of Boston will hold a vigil tonight (June 13) at 6 PM. Mayor Marty Walsh asked residents to join him for the vigil, which is scheduled for 6 PM.

UK
London
There will be a 2 minute silence this evening (June 13) at 7:05 PM along Old Compton Street, Soho. The start of the silence will be signalled by a bell and whistles followed by a 50 balloon release. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan is planning to attend in addition to other political leaders.
A vigil will take place this evening at 7:30 PM in the Old Steine Gardens. Attendees will gather in the Marlborough Pub & Theatre from 6 PM.
An act of remembrance will take place on the main stage at Brighton Pride on Saturday August 6.
There is a vigil hosted by Free Pride marking the Orlando attack, in George Square, Glasgow at 5:30 PM today.
A vigil will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, June 15, in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh.
The Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Carl Austin-Behan will attend a vigil being held in Sackville Gardens this evening. At 6.45pm people are invited to meet for a ‘hand hold’ that will start in the gardens and spread around the village at 7 PM.
At 8.30 PM members of the LGBT community and local dignitaries will express their thoughts and concerns.
Speakers will include Antony Cotton, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Rob Cookson from the LGBT Foundation, the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Rabnawaz Akbarand and Councillor Bev Craig, Manchester City Council lead Member for LGBT Women.
Liverpool
The City of Liverpool will show its support today following the homophobic attack in Orlando over the weekend. The iconic St George’s Hall in the heart of Liverpool city centre will host a special Vigil on the Plateau from 7-8pm tonight with speakers from Liverpool Pride, Trans Liverpool and the Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson. Organisers are encouraging all to come along show support. St George’s Hall will also be lit up by Liverpool City Council in LGBT rainbow colours this evening.
A vigil will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7 PM in Newcastle Times Square. All are welcome.
A vigil will be held in Reading this Saturday. The vigil is being organised by Reading Pride, coordinated with other Prides across the UK. It will take place at 5 PM on Saturday in Town Hall Square.
Pride Cymru and Stonewall Cymru have arranged for a vigil to take place today, June 13.
A gathering will commence from 7pm outside the National Assembly Senedd building in Cardiff Bay. Open to all who wish to attend and reflect. A number of support representatives and leaders will be present.
Northern Ireland
Foyle Pride will be holding a candle lit vigil at 6 PM on Monday June 13 in the peace garden in solidarity with the victims of the shooting in Orlando and also all LGBTQ+ people throughout the world who face violence, oppression and discrimination.
A vigil will be held at 5:30 PM tomorrow, June 14, outside Belfast City Hall in Donegall Square.
Republic of Ireland
Please join GLEN – GAY AND LESBIAN EQUALITY NETWORK, BeLonG To Youth Services and Transgender Equality Network Ireland in Bernardo’s Square (beside City Hall on Dame Street, Dublin 2) at 6:45 PM on Monday evening for a silent expression of our solidarity and sympathy with all those affected and bereaved by the tragedy. Please bring just your rainbow flags or emblems.
