Charlie Sheen endorses new tear-resistant, anti-slip condom brand
Charlie Sheen has endorsed a new brand of condoms which aims to be tear-resistant using a revolutionary new design.
Swedish retailer Lelo wanted to revolutionise the condom, the design of which has rarely been improved since they first appeared nearly three quarters of a century ago.
The Hex, rather than being moulded from a single sheet of latex, is instead made up of 350 hexagons, which “channel unwanted stress”, and avoid tears and breaks..
Sheen – who revealed he is HIV positive following a media ‘witch-hunt’ last year – recently said he planned to seeking out ‘experimental’ treatment in Mexico instead.
Charlie Sheen earlier this year faced a backlash after he admitted that he had stopped taking his prescribed HIV medication.
He appears in a promotional video for the condom design, which has taken Lelo seven years to create.
With an initial goal of $10,000 on Indiegogo, the campaign to mass-produce the condoms has raised more than £162,000.
