Dad refuses to touch naked son ‘because it’s gay’
A woman has taken asked the internet for help after her husband made the shocking claim.
A young mother-to-be has told of the shocking moment her husband told her he would not touch their son’s ‘private parts’ because he thinks it is ‘gay’.
“I’ve been married to my husband for three years, but we’ve been dating for two years before that,” she wrote on Reddit.
“He’s honestly the best person I’ve met.”
She goes on to say that her husband was “very happy” when he found out she was expecting a baby and the pair were “super excited” to find out they were having a boy.
However, it all started to change when she began reading baby books.
“I’ve been reading about diaper rash and how important it is to change the diaper and clean the baby as soon as possible,” she wrote.
“I told my husband that when the baby comes he needs to use baby wipes on the groin and butt as a precaution since it can be pretty bad.
“He stopped me and said that I would be changing all of the diapers, that he doesn’t want to touch anything because it’s gay and that it’s my responsibility.”
She says she was shocked by her husband’s response, and doesn’t “understand” why he would think like that.
“Our baby is our son, we need to take care of him.”
Understandably, fellow Reddit users had little sympathy for the father-to-be’s worrying reaction.
“Touching his son is gay. Does this mean he would help if it were a girl? How creepy is that?” asked one concerned user.
“But I am kinda suspecting that he’s expecting you to do all the child rearing and this is an excuse, not an argument.”
