Artist reimagines Disney favourites as gay couples to celebrate Pride
A whole new world?
When Cosmopolitan asked illustrator Isaiah Stephens to commemorate Pride month, he was only too happy to oblige.
Initially, the artist sketched his favourite Disney princess embracing LGBT love, “because who needs a man when you have princesses and a queen?”
Following the popularity of the pics, he decided to add a set of Disney princes to the mix.
“June is gay pride month, so earlier this month I drew princesses in love with each other,” Stephens wrote on his Instagram account.
“And now, to commemorate the occasion my friends at Cosmopolitan asked me to illustrate a set of Disney Princes in love… with each other!”
Earlier this year, social media was awash with the hashtag #giveelsaagirlfriend, in response to rumours the corporation may be planning a second outing of the incredibly successful Frozen.
And it seems the Stephen is also on board – after he drew a pic of the ice queen getting up close and personal with Princess Tiana!
Take a look at some of Stephen’s dazzling creations below:
