John Barrowman cancels event after receiving threats
The Torchwood star decided not to take part in a fan event after receiving threatening messages.
Doctor Who star John Barrowman pulled out of a panel discussion and photo opportunity with fans on over the weekend after threats were made against him.
The Arrow star was scheduled to appear at Montreal Comiccon – but was forced to cancel after he received a host of threatening emails.
Barrowman posted to fans on Facebook, referencing an email “that directly referenced me” and that “in light of recent events,” he and his management had decided to take the unspecified threat seriously.
However, Barrowman agreed to sign autographs for fans later on Saturday, after sufficient security was arranged.
Its safe to say the past few moths haven’t been the actor’s best.
The threat comes just weeks after Barrowman accidentally exposed his husband’s penis on social media – twice.
Initially posting a Facebook video – which is still online – of his husband getting in a hot tub, he later posted a SnapChat video of his beloved lying naked on a hotel bed.
After the initial posts, Barrowman created several videos talking about the shock of showing his husband’s penis to the world – though many have claimed that the star’s actions were intentional.
He also had a hilarious mishap while visiting the Loose Women studio in May, after taking an embarrassing tumble.
The actor was visiting the popular ITV show today when he attempted to show off the red kitten heels he had donned for the occasion.
However, it became the centre of attention for all of the wrong reasons after taking a huge fall off the stage – much to the dismay of the loose ladies.
