Amber Heard denies leaking video of Johnny Depp saying ‘you want to see crazy?’
Amber Heard has denied leaking a video which appears to show Johnny Depp smashing wine glasses and saying “you want to see crazy?”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was earlier this year ordered by a US judge to stay away from estranged wife Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard announced back in May that they are set to end their short marriage.
Heard cited irreconcilable differences in formally filing for divorce from her Rum Diary co-star on May 23, according to gossip site TMZ.
Late in May, Heard alleged that Depp had thrown a mobile phone at her during an argument.
The judge said Depp should refrain from contacting Heard after she showed a photo of her own bruised eye and cheek at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
A video which surfaced on TMZ, reportedly of Johnny Depp, filmed by Heard in which he says: “You want to see crazy? I’ll give you crazy,” slamming doors and eventually discovering the camera.
In the video, Heard asks Depp if he has drunk a whole bottle of what appears to be wine “this morning”, before he realises the camera is filming.
But anonymous sources on TMZ linked to Johnny Depp say the video is “heavily edited”.
Now Heard has spoken out to say she wants to resolve their divorce “privately”, and that she did not leak the video.
In a statement she says: “I am not responsible for the release of the video. It was not what I wanted and I am doing what I can to force the media to take it off the internet,”
“I underestimated the toll that this difficult few months have taken on me, emotionally and physically, and the efforts made by the media to intimidate and discredit me.”
Adding: “It is for that reason, and my desire to make the healthiest choice for myself, and hopefully for Johnny, that I am attempting to resolve this matter in the most private way possible.”
The A-List couple tied the knot back in February 2015, in a low-key Los Angeles civil ceremony.
The pair met and fell in love while working together The Rum Diary – an adaptation of a novel by legendary journalist Hunter S. Thompson.
Earlier this year, Heard – who is bisexual – spoke out about her sexual orientation, saying it was not defined by her marriage to Depp.
The actress, who stars in the Danish Girl, came out in 2010 as she dated photographer Tasya van Ree.
She later married Depp – who last year said all of his characters are gay – and adopted his two children, but says marrying a man does not define her sexual orientation.
The actress has previously claimed that she has had to “fight” for movie roles since she coming out as bisexual.
She also says that she thinks celebrities who stay in the closet are “inadvertently admitting it’s wrong” to be gay or bisexual.
“I personally think that if you deny something or if you hide something you’re inadvertently admitting it’s wrong,” she said.
“I hate the idea of a label just as much as anyone else but I’m with who I’m with.
“I’m not a better actress than I was yesterday and my personal life should have no effect on that.”

The True Blood actress previously revealed that she “cried so hard” when she came out as bisexual to her mother.
Wood, who came out as bisexual in 2011, said she was “terrified” of her bisexuality as a child because no one had explained or discussed it with her.
