After Trump called her ‘Miss Housekeeping’ this beauty queen went to great lengths to get revenge
After Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump commented on this beauty queen’s weight and called her names, she took the ultimate revenge.
Alicia Machado, who won Miss Universe in 1996, the year Trump took control of the was called an “eating machine”, “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping”.
In order to get revenge, the Venezuelan beauty queen got US citizenship and has vowed to vote against Trump.
In a photograph on Instagram, Machado wrote: “I so proud and inspiration to be a U.S. Citizen! I’ll be Voting! All my power and my support become with my next President @hillaryclinton.”
She added: “Miss Housekeeping and miss Piggy Can Vote @realdonaldtrump.”
UKIP leader Nigel Farage earlier this week rallied with Trump.
Though he said he would not directly endorse Mr Trump at the event, Mr Farage directly encouraged his supporters to take on the “establishment”, adding that he would not vote for Hillary Clinton “even if she paid me”.
Barbra Streisand, who has already pledged her allegiance to Hillary Clinton, also surprised fans when she took to the stage to duet with Donald Trump… well kind of.
Trump was previously a lukewarm supporter of LGBT rights, but has changed his stance repeatedly during the campaign in a bid to appeal to the broad Republican base.
His Vice Presidential hopeful Mike Pence is an avowed opponent of LGBT rights, while some of his policy advisers, like Tea Party politician Michele Bachmann, harbour extreme anti-gay views.
In recent months the Republican Presidential nominee has pledged to appoint justices to repeal equal marriage, come out in favour of North Carolina’s anti-trans bathroom law, and hinted at ‘religious freedom’ laws to permit anti-LGBT discrimination.
