Man’s family appeal to fund surgery for debilitating condition which made his penis ‘the size of a baby’
A man has spoken out about a rare and debilitiating condition which has left him unable to have sex because his penis grew to the size of a baby.
The family of 20-year-old Sorence Owiti Opiyo are appealing for financial help from well-wishers for surgery to correct the debilitating condition.
Opiyo is believed to be the only case of the mystery condition in his native Kenya.
He has been forced to drop out of school after being bullied, and is unable to have sex or have children.
The condition started ten years ago after he was orphaned and moved in with his grandmother in Kismu County.
Starting off as a boil, his genitals swelled up to ten times the average size.
Despite an operation to curb the swelling among other treatments, Opiyo is still unable to wear shorts or trousers as his penis won’t fit into them.
His family has said the 20-year-old is set to have another operation shortly at the Jaramogi Oginga hospital in Kisumu.
Last year, a man with a 19 inch penis said he had the world’s largest.
A documentary followed another man who had silicone injections to make his penis weigh half a stone.
