Watch Apple boss Tim Cook show off his singing skills in James Corden’s latest Carpool Karaoke
The pair were joined by Pharrell Williams as they made their way to Apple’s latest launch event.
The big Apple launch event – which unveiled the iPhone 7 and AirPods – opened with a short film of CEO Tim Cook in a Carpool Karaoke session with Late Late Show host James Corden.
The pair rode to The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco together, with Corden and Cook belting out a series of random tunes – including ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and One Republic’s ‘I Lived’.
Corden has previously offered rides to Adele, Britney, Sir Elton and even the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Although Cook seemed a little uncomfortable to begin with, (maybe he knew how the headphone jack news would go down) he seemed to loosen up a little when the duo were joined by the King of Cool himself, Pharrell Williams.
The trio spent the rest of their journey singing songs and donning ridiculous outfits, including a pair oversized sunglasses.
As they arrived at the venue, Corden gave Cook a few last minute tips on how to win over the crow.
However, the former Hollyoaks star did not offer the businessman a lift out of the goodness of his heart.
Apple Music and CBS Television Studios recently acquired an exclusive first-window licensing agreement – under which Apple Music will become the global home for 16 episodes of the upcoming Carpool Karaoke series.
So one could argue that Cook is Corden’s new boss.
Since publicly coming out in 2014, Mr Cook has been a strong supporter of LGBT rights.
He explained previously: “Honestly, I value my privacy. I’m a very private person. But it became increasingly clear to me that if I said something that it could help other people.
“And I’m glad, because I think that some kid somewhere, some kid in Alabama, I think if they just for a moment stop and say ‘if it didn’t limit him, it may not limit me’.”
