This brilliant kids’ book from 1994 featuring gay dads needs to be brought back into print immediately
An excellent kids book from 1994 which simply and easily explains that some kids have same-sex, single or blue parents is one of the best we’ve seen yet.
Despite being out of print, ‘One Dad, Two Dads, Brown Dad, Blue Dad’ by Johnny Valentine is available still on Amazon second hand.
A Tumblr user dug out her copy and posted a few sneak peeks at how well the book simply and easily explains to kids that some people’s family situations are different, and that is just fine.
The book tackles race and sexual orientation of people’s parents, cleverly using the word ‘blue’ in place of the word ‘two’.
