Is Lady Gaga performing next year’s Super Bowl halftime show?
Lady Gaga is rumoured to be performing at the Super Bowl next year, according to a US tabloid.
Us Weekly reported last week that the 30-year-old star has signed up to perform the show at the NRG stadium in Houston, Texas in February.
It said: “Following much speculation, the ‘Perfect Illusion’ singer, 30, has officially signed on to perform at the 51st annual football championship event at NRG stadium in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017.
“The exciting news comes just days after Us Weekly reported that Gaga was ‘in talks’ to headline the 2017 sporting event.”
As yet, the NFL hasn’t confirmed if Gaga will be the halftime act but with performances from the likes of Beyoncé and Madonna performing, Gaga taking to the stage wouldn’t be out of place.
Earlier this month, Adele turned down the chance to perform at the halftime show.
She said the offer was “very kind”, but the performance was not about the music.
This year’s performance, which featured Coldplay and Beyoncé, was accused of trying to force the ‘gay agenda’ on its audience.
On that day, Gaga performed the national anthem.
Recently, Gaga performed her new song in a London bar.
