X Factor judge attracts homophobic abuse after putting through gay act
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has received vile homophobic abuse after opting to put through a gay act on last nights programme.
Walsh pushed duo act Bradley and Ottavio through to the live shows in the episode that aired last night.
Many believed the girl group Four Diamonds were more deserving of the spot in the live shows.
A number of viewers took to social media to complain about their distaste of Louis and his decision, but used incredibly vile and homophobic language. Walsh was bombarded with homophobic slurs including “faggot” and “batty”.
Some viewers pulled his sexuality into question for his move to put the two men into the competition.
Some of the twitter abuse lacked the homophobic aspect.
And some of it was actually quite amusing. Despite the idea of knocking Louis on the head with a Westlife CD being incredibly amusing, it doesn’t take anything away from the homophobia the judge experienced.
