Anderson Cooper attacked with gay slurs during Presidential Debate
Anderson Cooper was the target of homophobic abuse after the second Presidential Debate, it has emerged.
The CNN anchor, who co-moderated what was described as one of the fiercest face-offs between the two main candidates in modern history, was the first openly gay man to mediate such an exchange.
Alongside ABCās Martha Raddatz, Cooper asked a number of tough questions that saw him become the target of homophobic slurs on social media.
Many described him as a āfaggotā while others questioned his ability to understand ālocker room talkā.
A number of trolls wanted him āgaggedā and some suggested he wasnāt impartial, favouring Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Some even suggested that Cooper was jealous because he couldnāt āget withā Trump.
Before the debate, Trump had questioned Cooperās ability to moderate the debate, saying he was biased.
āI donāt think Anderson Cooper should be a moderator because Anderson Cooper works for CNN, and over the last couple of days, Iāve seen how Anderson Cooper behaves,ā he said.
