Anti-gay pamphlets in Amsterdam encourage religions to exterminate gay people
Pamphlets being handed out in the Dutch capital are calling for religious people to wipe out gay people.
The leaflets call on Muslims, Christians and Jews to unite and reminds them that homosexuality is forbidden in their respective religions.
Written in Dutch, the flyer featured false statistics including one that says 29 percent of children are abused by homosexual parents.
It also targeted the fact that LGBT people are more likely to suffer from mental health problems and suicide rates are higher.
“The moral responsibility for these children is all of ours for the coming generations,” it added.
The Netherlands has often been seen a hub for liberal views, with Amsterdam, in particular, a favourite among tourists.
It was the first country in the world to legalise same-sex marriage in 2001.
Amsterdam was recently announced as the host city for the next Bingham Cup.
