Cher is bringing ‘Classic Cher’ on tour

Music legend Cher has announced a new tour/residency starting from next February.

‘Classic Cher’ will kick off for a string of dates in Las Vegas before moving across the States to Washington, DC for a final few nights.

She’ll play a total of nine Vegas shows at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo, starting from February 8th 2017 and ending on February 25th.

From there she’ll move across to Washington, DC for three nights at The Theater at MGM National Harbor.

It’s similar to a deal Bruno Mars just inked with MGM Resorts International to play at the same venues, but there’s no word yet on whether Classic Cher will ever expand beyond the current twelve shows and visit any other cities.

The last time Cher appeared on stage it wasn’t to perform any of her hits. She joined Hillary Clinton at a few campaign events to back her presidential run.

The singer has also been a very vocal critic of Donald Trump, who she called “an a**hole” who would “put an end to gay marriage, put an end to gay adoption.”

She said: “It’s not going to hurt me. I’m 70, it’s not going to do anything to me but it’s going to do stuff to young people. That scares me and it really bothers me because he just doesn’t care.”

This August she teased that she’s working on new material, so fans will be hoping to hear new material during next year’s tour.
