Two Belgian TV hosts got ‘married’ under the most unlikely circumstances
A pair of Belgian TV presenters have married each other after a social media stunt that exploded.
Jonas Van Geel and James Cooke married each other yesterday and threw an after party for their fans to attend.
It started off as a bet between the two as they announced on Van Geel’s show that they would marry if they got over 200,000 likes on their Facebook page – double the amount they started with.
The pair reached their target and made it down the aisle to share their vows. However, the wedding may not permanent between the duo, as the driving force behind the publicity stunt was to raise money for charity.
Red Nose Day were the lucky charity to receive over €6000 in fundraising from the ‘wedding’ party they held.
After walking down the aisle together the newly weds celebrated in the nightclub, Carré, where they took pictures and danced.
The pair announced their wedding party on Facebook, and over 500 people attended. Tickets were brought for €12 euro with the proceeds going to charity.
The happy couple wed in white suits which had their initials (J&J) in diamante on the back of their jackets.
To make the wedding even more authentic they produced a family wedding video, which you can watch here:
