This woman couldn’t help herself when she overheard some diners talking about their ‘awful gay nephew’
A woman has shared her story after she decided to pay for the dinner of another table she overheard talking about how they had an “awful gay nephew” that they “need to pray for.”
Except nothing is as it seems. The woman, named Natalie Elle Elaine, an out lesbian who used to work at the Human Rights Campaign, shared a photo of her receipt.
After overhearing the conversation, Natalie kept her mouth shut, but instead paid for their meal, writing on the receipt: “Happy holidays from the very gay, very liberal table sitting next to you. Jesus made me this way.”
She adds:”P.s. be accepting of your family”.
Since sharing on Facebook, many have taken to thank Natalie, with dozens of shares and hundreds of likes.
Responding, she wrote: “You are all very kind, and I appreciate your encouragement, that said, go out and fight hate with love. Use your voices.”
One user thanked her, writing: “You are a beautiful soul! Continue doing great things! You have affected and influenced us all! You are brilliant!”
