New Kids on the Block singer Jonathan Knight gets engaged
The singer from New Kids on the Block Jonathan Knight has proposed to his boyfriend.
The singer announced on Sirius Radio’s Jenny McCarthy show earlier this week that he proposed to his boyfriend Harley Rodriguez.
Knight popped the question in Africa, suggesting it was somewhat of a spur of the moment decision.
“We were in Africa, our parents were there — our moms were there — and I just figured this was the time to pop the question and make it official.
“We were on the Zambezi River — it’s right above Victoria Falls. We took a nighttime raft dinner, just the four of us out on the river, there was like a hippopotamus in the background. It was a super moon. It was just absolutely beautiful, it was so romantic.”
Knight is about to embark on a tour across the US with New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul.
The couple have known each other for eight years, and Rodriguez is a personal trainer.
