Trump has this major job in mind for Nigel Farage
Donald Trump has revealed he wants Nigel Farage to be a UK ambassador to the US.
The president-elect took to Twitter late at night to claim the UKIP leader “would do a great job” in the top diplomatic post.
The two men have been in close quarters for some months, with Farage beating Theresa May to be the first British politician the newly elected president met with.
But Downing Street quickly rebutted Trump’s Twitter suggestion, saying: “There is no vacancy. We already have an excellent ambassador to the US.”
Both men have been heavily criticised for their views on LGBT issues, with Mr Trump already putting forward a host of anti-gay politicians for top cabinet positions.

Farage told the BBC he’d been up since 2.30am responding to calls for him to take the post.
He said that “in the normal course of events” he would not see himself as a diplomat.
“But,” he added, “these are not the normal course of events.”
Britain’s current ambassador is Sir Kim Darroch – who Mr Farage recently claimed should be sacked in favour of someone more in line with Trump’s views.
“I would have thought it’s obvious. He’s part of the old regime.
“His worldview and the worldview of the Trump team are going to be diametrically opposed.
“I would have thought it would be more sensible to put someone there who was likely to get on with Team Trump.”
