Gogglebox star Chris Steed has set a date for his glam wedding
Gogglebox star Christopher Steed has set a summer date for his wedding to partner Tony Butland.
After getting engaged on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris last year the pair have confirmed they will marry on the 8th of July.
Steed stars on goggle box with his former partner Stephen Webb, who is also engaged to his boyfriend.
The pair said they broke up after stress from doing the show but have remained good friends and still appear on the series.
Stephen relieved any fears fans might have that he could be forced off the Gogglebox sofa when his on-screen partner got engaged, saying: “They can’t get rid of me lol.”
Steed told the Gay UK that he would be wearing a £3000 suit from Dolce and Gabbana, but expects the whole do will be a “family affair.”
His soon to be husband won’t be wearing the matching teal get up.
“He did turn around and say to me, ‘Because you just spent three thousand pounds on a Dolce and Gabbana Suit, does that mean I get a Dolce and Gabbana suit for the wedding?’ I said, ‘If you pay for it, of course.’”
The reality star joked that the ceremony will be private, unless OK Magazine decide to do a photo feature on the do.
“If OK Magazine wanted to actually do a feature on it and pay us an obscene amount of money then we might invite a few celebrities.”
Steed announced the news of his engagement in October last year when he shared a picture of his ring, telling his followers: “It’s official… I can’t sing Beyoncé anymore.”
