WATCH: The San Diego Men’s Chorus nailed their Christmas routine
The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus have joined up to celebrate the holidays with a rendition of everyone’s favourite Christmas tune.
The the choir, dressed as lumberjacks, do the hand jive to the holiday-themed “Hand Jive Jingle” which is laid over the tune of “Hooray For Our Favourite Son” from the Tony-winning musical The Will Rogers Follies.
The chorus almost look like Christmas elves in the get up which invokes joyful laughter from across the room.
The impressive hand jive choreograph alongside the singing is complex, but the men performing it nail it effortlessly.
The Chorus formed in the early 1990s and is made up of nearly 100 singers.
Earlier this year the group found themselves caught up in a homophobic incident in Petco Park where they were rushed by anti-gay members shouting homophobic slurs.
However the Chorus proved love beats all once again with the statement they released.
“What should have been a night of joy and celebration at Petco Park last night, instead turned into a nightmare raising serious questions about homophobia within the San Diego Padres organisation and its relationship with the LGBT community,” it read.
The group continued to get homophobic messages after the incident, but they have not let it stop them from performing though, and this short piece has helped end 2016 on a high.
