Out UFC champ Amanda Nunes shares victory kiss with partner after defending title
Ultimate Fighting Champ Amanda Nunes defended her title on Saturday, before sharing a kiss in the ring with her partner.
Nunes earned the Ultimate Fighting Championship title last year, becoming the champion in the Bantamweight category by defeating title holder Miesha Tate.
She defended her title over the weekend, seeing off a challenge from Ronda Rousey in a fight that lasted just 48 seconds.
After taking down Rousey and seeing off the challenge, Nunes shared a kiss with her girlfriend Nina Ansaroff.
Speaking about their relationship previously, Nunes said: “Nina is the best training partner I have in my life.
“She is shy… She is going to show everybody. She helps me every day … and I love her.”
Rousey, who was humiliated with the quick defeat, previously refused to fight against trangender athlete Fallon Fox, insisting she doesn’t think there is an “undo button” on gender.
The fighter said: “In Fallon Fox’s case, I think she does have an unfair advantage.
“It’s a case by case scenario thing. I’ve tried to research it a lot.
“I feel like if you go through puberty as a man it’s something that you can’t really reverse. You can’t just reverse that, there’s no undo button on that.
“That’s unfortunately her scenario.”
