House ransacked and sprayed with anti-gay graffiti in suspected hate crime attack
Police are investigating a suspected hate crime, after a house was burgled, vandalised and sprayed with homophobic messages.
The attack took place overnight in the Van Nuys neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
The house was burgled and sprayed anti-gay graffiti, while the thugs also went out of their way to cause damage – destroying water pipes and kicking in walls.
The damage is described as extensive.
The victims have not been identified, but police confirmed to the LA Times that they are investigating the attack at homophobic hate crime.
Sergeant Carl Taylor confirmed the hate crime investigation to the newspaper, adding: “It’s pretty extensive damage.”
It is not beleived that anyone was injured during the attack on the house.
It is unclear who was living there at the time of the attack.
Police do not yet have any suspects.
