Ex-congresswoman Michele Bachmann is calling on Trump to reverse the ‘evil’ gay agenda
Former congresswoman Michele Bachmann has called on president-elect Donald Trump to reverse the ‘evil’ gay agenda.
Talking to Tony Perkins’ Washington Watch radio show, Bachmann called gay and lesbian rights “evil”.
Perkins, who is also an anti-gay rights advocate, called for Trump to remove all State Department officials who support LGBT rights.
The failed 2012 presidential candidate said: “You brought it up yourself with the State Department, where we’ve seen such evil come out of our State Department, unfortunately, where financial incentives are withheld from countries unless they advance, for instance, the gay agenda.”
She went on to claim that President Obama had forced countries across the world to hold Pride parades.
“The US government is telling another government that you have to have gay pride parades,”
She continued: “That’s unbelievable. You won’t get your PEPFAR money, you won’t get your USAID money unless you follow our radical social agenda?”
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is responsible for civilian foreign aid.
Tea Party politician Michele Bachmann sat in the US House of Representatives from 2007 until 2014, and earned a reputation as America’s most extreme homophobic politician.
She became well-known while a congresswoman for her often-surreal arguments and extreme opposition to gay rights.
She claimed in 2014: “I think [gays] want to abolish age of consent laws, which means we will do away with statutory rape laws so that adults would be able to freely prey on little children sexually. That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.”
She previously insisted the God would vote for Trump, and claimed that Obama literally caused the apocalypse.
