George Michael’s ex-lover fears chemsex drug Liquid G caused the singer’s death
George Michael’s secret ex-lover has claimed that the singer was addicted to chemise drug liquid G, which he fears caused his death.
Paul Stag, an escort who claimed he dated the late singer between 2009 and 2013, said that he often supplied Michael with drugs such as Liquid G.
Stag revealed that he believes Michael’s “addiction” to the drugs could be the reason for his untimely death on Christmas day last year, aged just 53.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, Stag said: “George was mad on G. He loved it. It is 100 per cent he would have had chemise on Christmas Eve before his death.”
“He was incredibly sexually active and in his mind drugs equalled sex and sex equalled drugs. My belief is he didn’t separate that until the day he died.
“I saw him collapse many, many times. He threw up on my bathroom floor and I had to kick him out of my house.”
48-year-old Stag claimed that Michael had called up to 500 times in the nine year period to deliver the drugs.
“My heart never sank when the phone went and it was a request from George. It was 300, 400, 500 times. As and when he wanted. Sometimes it would be twice a week, then nothing for a few weeks because of his work.”
The two allegedly met through a gay magazine, and according to Stag they never had sex when Michael wasn’t on the drug he supplied.
Stag added that he supplied the drugs because he didn’t want Michael to turn to somebody less trustworthy.
George Michael was battling heroin when he died, according to reports by The Daily Telegraph who claimed the star had been a secret user of the drug until his death.
A source told the newspaper: “He’s been rushed to A&E on several occasions,” they said. “He used heroin. I think it’s amazing he’s lasted as long as he has.”
