Tom Daley spotted in London filming for Sharknado 5
Out diving star Tom Daley has been spotted in London filming for the fifth instalment of cult film series Sharknado.
The diver, who is engaged to Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, was spotted near the South Bank in London filming for Sharknado 5.
He was joined by American Pie star Tara Reid who is set to reprise her role as April Wexler in the film – she has starred in the first four films in the franchise.
It also features Ian Zierig playing ‘Fin’ who attempts to stop a global sharknado.
A sharknado, according to Urban Dictionary, is “A hell-storm of swirling winds and killer sharks capable of leveling small towns and turning mediocre B-list celebrities into has-been D-listers.”
Daley is taking up his first acting role in the film, but it is unclear whether he plays a character or is making a cameo.
Spotted in London, he didn’t wear his signature speedos, but appeared fully clothed as dozens looked on.
‘Sharknado 5… Earth 0’ is described in its synopsis as: “With much of North America lying in ruins, the rest of the world braces for the inevitable: a global sharknado,’ the synopsis reads.
“From London to Asia, South Africa to Mexico, Fin and his family must put a stop to the sharknados once and for all.”
