Lana Del Rey joins witches for mass binding spell to neutralise President Trump
Lana Del Rey has said she will join in at midnight tonight to cast a binding spell on President Trump to stop him from doing further harm.
Witches around the world are planning to cast a binding spell on President Trump at the stroke of midnight tonight, on 24 February.
A document containing details of a spell has been circulating on witchcraft forums and social media.
The singer, Del Rey, said she would join in the spell this evening, sharing details on her Twitter page.
She wrote: “At the stroke of midnight Feb 24, March 26, April 24, May 23 ❤️ Ingredients can b found online ?,’ Lana wrote, alongside a rather intimidating portrait.”
According to a Facebook group for the binding spell event, witches from around the world plan to cast the “largest mass binding spell in history”.
It calls on witches, seasoned and occasional, to “Join the largest mass binding spell in history as participants around the world, individually and in groups, focus their consciousness to prevent Donald Trump from doing harm.”
The document clarifies that binding is different to other types of harmful spells, and simply intends to neutralise Trump’s ability to cause harm, rather than to harm him.
“In this document, binding, which seeks to restrain someone from doing harm, is differentiated from cursing or hexing, which is meant to inflict harm on the target(s). It is understood, in this context, that binding does not generate the potential negative blowback from cursing/hexing/crossing, nor does it harm the caster’s karma.”
Ingredients for the spell include an orange candle with Trump’s name engraved in the side, an unflattering photo of the President and a Tower tarot card.
The instructions include lighting the candle, reciting the spell and then blowing “out orange candle, visualising Trump blowing apart into dust or ash.”
There is an alternate ending which does not require visualising Trump blowing apart.
The spell, in part, beseeches Trump in the name of “Liberty, Love, Equality and Peace.”

Last year, a group of queer witches cast a spell on the self-proclaimed ‘Pharma Bro’, Martin Shkreli, who gouged the price of medications.
