Team Trump has only gone and upset the Irish ahead of St Patrick’s Day
President Trump has been criticised for various things since taking office but Twitter wonāt let him forget this latest blunder.
Tweeting a special edition āMake America Great Againā hat for sale, Trump has managed to insult the Irish.
The green version of the hats, which became a fixture in Trumpās Presidential campaign, feature a glaring error which Twitter wonāt let him forget.
Instead of a shamrock with three leaves, the hat has been produced with a four-leafed clover on the back.
Team Trump tweeted a link to the $50 baseball cap: āCapture the luck of the Irish with this Make America Great Again Hat. While supplies last!ā
The GOP also tweeted, saying: āTheyāre going to go fastāget ready for #StPatricksDay by grabbing a green #MAGA hat!ā
But many responded to point out the error.
One user tweeted: āThatās not a Shamrock! Make America Smart Again #MASA not #MAGAā.
āPresident Trump declares more fake news. Everyone knows that shamrock has four leaves not three as implied by troublemakers,ā wrote another.
And various people from Ireland also tweeted the US President to say that they didnāt want to be associated with him or for his campaign to cash in on St Patrickās Day.
ācrass attempt2make money off the back of #StPatricksDay low!BTW shamrock look like this not cheap&nasty&nowt2do with #Eireā reads another tweet.
