A woman has spoken out after she walked down the aisle with the love of her life.
She had hoped to have her family and loved ones all there for her big day, but things werenāt to be.
Jennifer, from Taiwan, found that her father wasnāt accepting of her sexuality.
He refused to walk down the aisle, or even turn up to the wedding.
Jennifer has been with her partner, Sam, for 11 years.
The pair say theyāre perfect for each other ā they were born on the same day and with the same passions in life.
Jennifer has opened up in a video with her employer, HSBC, about the special tale.
āMy parents are strongly against it,ā says Jennifer.
āWhenever my father sees Sam, he will push her out and tell her to get lost.ā
She was so sad about her parentās rejection that she even considered faking a marriage with a man.
Her colleagues at the bank felt so strongly that she deserved a happy wedding day that they stepped in for her.
When he found out Jenniferās dad wouldnāt walk her down the aisle, the Chief Executive of HSBC in Taiwan offered to do it himself.
Same-sex marriage isnāt legal in Taiwan at the moment, but the couple wanted to recognise their special relationship.
