Piers Morgan nails ‘stupid’ homophobic politician who thinks women are worth less
Piers Morgan has laid into a politician who claimed women are too “small and weak” for equal pay.
Janusz Korwin-Mikke, a member of the European Parliemtn from Poland, appeared on Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan on International Women’s Day.
The two men got into a row after the MEP claimed that women deserve to earn less money because they are “less intelligent”.
He went on to claim that it doesn’t mean women are “more stupid”, when Morgan slammed the politician as the “stupid one”.
The host asked him: “Don’t you understand that when you are doing that, you are showing the world that you are a horrendous, sexist pig?”
Speaking via a videolink in Poland, Korwin-Mikke replied: “But excuse me, why are not interested that the women are shorter or weaker than men? Intelligence is only one feature of women.
“And of course they are less intelligent – several points on the IQ scale.”
The MEP, who was invited to the funeral of Margaret Thatcher in 2013, continued: “It is scientifically proven. This shows you are an idiot who doesn’t believe in science.
“I never said that women should earn less, I’m only explaining to these idiot feminists because they say ‘oh women are earning less, why?’ so I am explaining why if you are weaker you must earn less.”
Korwin-Mikke is also a dedicated anti-LGBT campaigner, arguing strongly againt same-sex marriages and in favour of ‘traditional marriages’.
In fact he’s such a fan of traditional marriages, he’s had three of them.
He previously told the European Parliamentthat women should earn less than men, “because they are weaker, they are smaller, they are less intelligent, and they must earn less! That’s all”.
The comments drew gasps in the chamber, and another MEP, Iratxe Garcia Perez, from Spain, told him: “Look, according to your theory, I should not have the right to be here, as a member of this parliament.”
The Socialist Workers’ Party politician continued: “And I know it hurts you, I know it hurts and worries you, that today women can sit in this house and represent European citizens with the same rights as you.
“I am here to defend all European women from men like you.”
Even Nigel Farage has repeatedly condemned Mr Korwin-Mikke, calling him “utterly reprehensible”.
Mr Korwin-Mikke once ate his tax return in front of the Polish revenue service office in protest at taxes he thought were too high.
He has also said that there is no written proof that Adolf Hitler was aware of the Holocaust and said there are “very subtle” differences between rape and consensual sex.
