‘I thought I was going to die’ says trans woman brutally attacked by four men
A trans woman has been brutally attacked on her doorstep by a group of four men.
Holly Fields, 56, answered a knock at her front door on Friday, only to be confronted with four men and a woman. The men punched her over and over in the stomach and chest.
Holly, who moved to Blackpool a month ago, told the Blackpool Gazette that she “was shouting ‘please just leave me alone.’
“I thought I was going to die.”
She was left with four cracked ribs and bruising on her body following the attack, which also saw the attackers subject Holly to a barrage of homophobic and transphobic abuse.
Paramedics treated her at the scene, before taking her to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Holly said the assault had left her feeling “scared and worthless. I don’t want to go outside.
“I’m anxious and frightened. I haven’t been eating properly or sleeping properly.
“I have heart problems and this stress is affecting me badly.”
The four men were described as white British and aged between 30 and 40 years old, with dark brown hair, but Holly said: “I didn’t get a good look at them because I was being attacked.”
She added: “Someone has to know who these men are.
“I want to put an appeal out to stop this happening again to somebody else. I’m not going to feel safe until they are caught.”
A police spokesman said: “We were called to an address at around 7.10pm on March 10.
“A woman had been assaulted. She had opened the door to four men and was punched by them several times.
“We have not identified any suspects at this stage and no arrests have been made.”
