George Michael knew he was near death, his personal medic reveals
The late George Michael knew he was near to death, his personal physician has revealed.
World renowned osteopath, Simeon Niel-Asher, treated the Wham! legend for some three decades.
The medic has revealed that Michael was preparing for his death in their last meeting, just three weeks before he passed away on Christmas Day.
Mr Niel-Asher said: “When I last saw him he was in good spirits. It was a beautiful last session.
“We had a really weird conversation, it was interesting and it was strange.
“Sometimes people know they are going to die and they get everything in order.
“I wonder if there was a bit of that going on, like he somehow knew.
“It was strange to think he might have known he was going to die or had some kind of inkling. That happens.
“Some people know they are going to die and I’ve seen it before.
“In many ways I thought he was waking up and I saw him coming alive again, maybe the last flash of the candle.
The physcian has moved to live in Isreal since he first started treating the singer, and so would fly back to London for appointments.
He was preparing to return to London after Christmas, until the news broke of him dying in his sleep.
The medic added: “I was waiting for a call to see him again. So his death hit me hard, I only found out on the news.
“We became good friends and it was a tremendous therapeutic relationship.”
Details of the singer’s £105m will have begun to emerge, with a very generous gift to his sister, among other loved ones.
It comes after the body remained unburied for three months since his Christmas Day death.
Tests eventually confirmed that George Michael died from “natural causes”.
According to a coroner, his death was caused by dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
Fawaz posted emotional updates after it was confirmed he died of natural causes.
He posted “F*** YOU” on hearing the news of the coroner’s report.
Adding: “All the nasty comments, press and 999 were very cruel and unnecessary whatsoever, Now I hope to receive some real LOVE x”
Since his death, dozens of people have opened up about the singer’s extraordinary generosity and anonymous philanthropy, donating millions to good causes without revealing his identity.
