Rose McGowan vows to fight back after hackers leak private photos
Actor turned director Rose McGowan has vowed to hit back after hackers leaked her private photos in the past week.
The actor tweeted: “Hey little hacker boys, Mama is coming and she hits hard.”
The message was accompanied by a photo of McGowan whose face was partially obscured by a chain mask.
The leak comes after some 600 victims of a hacking scandal including Jennifer Lawrence, Rihana and Selena Gomez, had private photos stolen from iCloud accounts last year.
Ryan Collins was sentenced to 18 months in prison on hacking charges and another man Edward Majerczyk was sentenced to 9 months in prison.
McGowan has been a controversial figure on LGBT+ rights in the past.
In 2016 she warned that a war on LGBT+ people and women was coming.
The year before she hit out at Caitlyn Jenner – claiming she has “male privilege” and “doesn’t understand” being female.
It’s not the first time the actress has been outspoken on LGBT issues – she apologised last year after claiming that gay people “fought for the right to stand on top of a float wearing an orange speedo” taking MDMA.
McGowan had claimed that gay men are “more misogynistic” than straight men, after holding a defiant party at a Brunei-owned hotel facing a boycott over the country’s anti-gay laws.
