Woman whose IVF George Michael paid for falls pregnant the day he dies
A woman whose IVF treatment was paid for by George Michael has fallen pregnant.
Lynette Gillard, 38, only recently discovered that it was the Wham! star who paid for her treatment.
She appeared on TV game show Deal Or No Deal in 2008 in a bid to pay for her IVF, but walked away with a disappointing £3,000.
After the show aired, she received a surprise gift of £9,000 from an unknown viewer – and it turns out George Michael was the generous benefactor.
However repeat attempts at IVF proved unsuccessful, and the fitness instructor began to believe she would never fall pregnant.
However on Christmas Day she missed her period – the same day the star died.
She has now found out she’s 15 weeks pregnant with her partner, Nathan, 37, and doctors are calling it a miracle.
“I believe in fate, so his death and the pregnancy must be connected”, she told The Sun.
“It is just so unbelievable. I keep thinking to myself, if the big man is up there looking down on me and this is meant to be, this is the exact time it would have happened.
“Doctors have no rational or scientific explanation for why I got pregnant now after so many years of ‘unexplained infertility’ so it does definitely feel like George is looking over me.
“Nathan and I haven’t used contraception for the last three and a half years and absolutely nothing has happened, so it must be fate. If it isn’t, what is?
“If it’s a boy we definitely want to include his name as a middle name.”
Meanwhile details of George Michael’s generous £105m will have begun to emerge.
It’s reported that his hairdresser sister, Melanie Panayiotou, is set to inherit his £10m mansion in north London.
The 55-year-old has already been seen living in the house according to reports in MailOnline.
The singer’s other older sister Yioda Panayiotou, 57, is also reported to be receiving a large chunk of his estimated £105million fortune.
A number of charities and causes that were close to the legendary performer’s heart are expected to be recognised in the will, too.
Since his death, dozens of people have opened up about the singer’s extraordinary generosity and anonymous philanthropy, donating millions to good causes without revealing his identity.
The star was confirmed as having died from “natural causes” last week.
It came after he spent three months unburied after investigations into his cause of death continued.
According to a coroner, the singer’s death was caused by dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
It was previously claimed that he had died due to drug related issues, which was ruled out by the coroner.
