Todd Fisher pays moving tribute to sister Carrie and mother Debbie at memorial
Todd Fisher has paid a moving tribute to his sister and mother in a public memorial.
Fans and loved ones turned out to the huge memorial ceremony inside the Hall of Liberty in Los Angeles.
Among those paying tribute was the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, along with members of the Debbie Reynolds Studio dancing to Reynolds’ iconic song, Singin’ in the Rain.

James Blunt also wrote a tribute song for the event, though was not in attendance.
Carrie Fisher died on 27 December, four days after going into a cardiac arrest on a flight back to the US from London.
Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died just a day later after suffering a stroke.
Todd Fisher fronted the memorial ceremony, which was filled with memorabilia from the Star Wars film.

Speaking to thousands of fans who attended the event, which was also live-streamed online, he said: “When Carrie died, my mother decided to change her plans a bit.
“My mother always said to me, ‘I never want to go to my daughter’s funeral service. I would like to be buried with Carrie.'”
“I didn’t know she was going to leave us that very next day, and when she looked at me to ask permission to leave, she said she wanted to be with Carrie, and she closed her eyes and went to sleep. It was a beautiful exit,” he added.
Fans of the late Carrie Fisher have also called for a funeral for Princess Leia.
The next episode of the series, Episode VIII, is due out in December 2017 and was due to feature Fisher.
Although filming had already begun, fans are calling on producers to fit in a funeral for the character, in honour of the actress.

Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement to PEOPLE on behalf of Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, at the time she died.
It read: “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” reads the statement.
“She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly,” said Lourd. “Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
