There’s important news about a Britney world tour
There’s big news for fans of Britney Spears.
The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer is set to leave her residency in Las Vegas, embarking on overseas dates.
Rumours have been swirling for some time about a world tour, and now Britney has revealed two official dates on her Twitter.
The former teen star will be jetting off to the Philippines in June and Israel in July for special performances.
She wrote: “Excited to be performing abroad this summer! ✨ More details available at https://britneyspears.com”
It’s also believed there’s a world tour about to be announced too.
The Daily Star reports that she will be doing a string of dates, taking in South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
An insider told Daily Star Online: “Britney has wanted to tour for ages, her time in Vegas has given her so much more confidence and she can’t wait.
“The current plan is for the Piece of Me show to be duplicated around the world instead of a whole new set being created from scratch but discussions are in the early stages.”
The newspaper reports that Britney will play shows in Japan, Argentina, Brazil, France and England, which are soon to be announced.
It won’t mean a total end to her Piece of Me show on the strip, however.
Britney is expected to reprise that show, which she’s been performing since 2013, after finishing her international dates.
She previously made headlines on Twitter with fears of her death, before it was revealed Britney’s account had been hacked, and she was in fact still alive.
Britney fans will no doubt be delighted, including this superfan who did an incredible performance to Britney’s Toxic onboard an actual jet.
Airline worker Assraf Nasir was determined pull off a dance routine to the Britney Spears hit Toxic.
Nasir’s friend and co-worker Farhan Rzman uploaded the brilliant Toxic performance, which you can see here.
