George Michael’s cousin makes shocking claims he never loved Fadi Fawaz or Kenny Goss
George Michael’s cousin has made shocking claims about two of the late star’s boyfriends.
Andros Georgiou has suggested the singer was never in love with his partners Kenny Goss and Fadi Fawaz and that they were just a “convenience”.
The Wham! singer’s 39-year-old cousin previously lashed out, saying the family “hate” Fadi Fawaz.
The relative’s outburst comes after Michael was finally laid to rest yesterday, 94 days after his death.
Mr Georgiou wrote on Facebook – in a post since deleted – that his ex-boyfriend Anselmo Feleppa, who died of complications from HIV AIDS in 1993 – was the only true “love of his life”.
He wrote: “The 29th March 2017 is the day I say Goodbye to the man I met when I was just 1 years old. The man I spent 38 Years of my life with.
“The man I am proud to say was the only man I ever truly loved, The man who was very special to me and always will be in my heart and my prayers.
“Very few of us knew the real Yog and what he had to endure and live with his whole life! no matter what you read or think you are wrong believe me!”
The cousin was among those at the star’s intimate funeral yesterday.
His partner, Fadi Fawaz, was seen racing to Highgate cemetery shortly after 2pm local time, the last to arrive at the service.
According to MailOnline, Mr Fawaz was walking in nearby Camden when he was told of the service.
It’s alleged reporter informed him of the ceremony, prompting him to turn up swiftly.
Kenny Goss, Michael’s previous boyfriend, was also at the service.
However Mr Fawaz was not invited to the wake after the funeral took place.
16 blacked out cars pulled up at the cemetery for the service, said to be organised by the singer’s sister, Melanie Panayiotou.
They included former Wham! band mates Pepsi and Andrew Ridgeley, who were photographed looking distressed as they arrived.
Spice Girl Geri Horner, known as Ginger Spice, is thought to have delivered the eulogy.
Black drapes were lifted as each car arrived at the cemetery, allowing the approved vehicles to go through without showing the scene to those outside.
Cars going into the funeral had numbers displayed in their windows, to indicate they were for the star’s funeral.
The cousin, who had been estranged from the singer in his final years, previously claimed the family “hate” Fadi Fawaz and he would not be invited to the ceremony.
Georgiou blasted the late singer’s boyfriend, saying: “Fadi has not been invited to the funeral.
“He is not welcome, the family hate him. Heaven help him if he turned up.
“Fadi was not really his boyfriend. No one has spoken to him and he just seems to be getting on with his life. It makes my stomach turn.”
The burial plot, in Highgate Cemetry, north London, is next to the Careless Whisper singer’s late mother.
Michael’s beloved mum, Lesley, died 20 years ago in 1997.
The star had always intended to be buried next to her, buying the burial plot ready for when the occasion came around.
A source told the Mirror: “Lesley was George’s world so it is fitting that they should now be together.”
They added: “George would always make a big deal out of Mother’s Day.
“He loved her so much and he would spend a lot of time talking to her there.
“The cemetery has a very special place in his heart.”
