You have to see Colton Haynes in this musical spoof of Annie
Colton Haynes has appeared in a spoof of the musical Annie and it really is everything.
The actor, who recently got engaged to his partner Jeff Leatham, appeared in the spoof alongside Kathy Griffin.
Haynes plays the billionaire Oliver Warbucks who adopts Griffin, who is dubbed “the world’s oldest orphan, Grannie” in the video.
Classic Annie songs including Tomorrow, It’s a Hard Knock Life, Little Girls and I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here all appear in the hilarious but also brilliant spoof.
As well as Haynes and Griffin, Lisa Rinna plays the evil head of the orphanage Miss Hannigan where Annie stays before being swept off by Haynes.
The video which is based of the Broadway musical and feature film was shot in Griffin’s Los Angeles mansion.
Haynes has always been open about his traumatic experience with coming out.
The actor, who has also appeared in Teen Wolf and Arrow explained that people told him his father killed himself because Haynes came out.
In a revealing interview with OUT magazine, Haynes explained that his father took his life by overdosing on oxycodone. However, there was no evidence that his father’s suicide and his coming out were linked.
Since coming out the actor has been a leading figure in gay rights activism, and recently received the Human Rights Campaign visibility award.
