Bigger, better PinkNews Awards asks you to nominate your organisation for an award
PinkNews has launched three new awards aimed at rewarding organisations which put a special effort into improving LGBT+ equality.
The honours – which will be given to organisations in the public, private and third sectors – mark the first time people will be able to nominate their organisation for a PinkNews Award.
The PinkNews Awards ceremony celebrates the contributions of politicians, businesses and community groups towards what has been another historic year for LGBT+ equality around the world.
It will be held this year on Wednesday 18th October in London, with nominations for the Third Sector Equality Award, Public Sector Equality Award and Business Equality Award closing on 15th May.
The Business Equality Award is open to all businesses, small or large. The Public Sector Equality Award is also open to all public sector bodies, big or small.
Not-for-profit organisations which are exclusively dedicated to LGBT+ causes are recognised in the Community Awards category, with a separate nominations process, rather than the Third Sector Equality Award.

Anyone can nominate their organisation using one of the forms below, for what will be the fifth annual PinkNews Awards evening.
Last year saw Jeremy Corbyn take on the role of keynote speaker, with other speakers including Education Secretary Justine Greening, Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott and SNP Deputy Leader Angus Robertson.
The event was featured in numerous national newspapers, on radio, BBC and ITV News, and will raise funds for beneficiary charity the Kaleidoscope Trust.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales, PinkNews wants to help Kaleidoscope Trust’s decriminalisation efforts in other Commonwealth countries.

Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale, Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid, Olympic hero Tom Bosworth and Former First Minister Alex Salmond have also picked up PinkNews Awards.
