Beyoncé helped Gal Gadot totally nail her Wonder Woman audition
Gal Gadot, who is due to appear on our screens as Wonder Woman this summer, has revealed how the one and only Beyoncé helped her nail the audition.
Talking to W, Gadot explained that she was incredibly nervous before the audition for the super hero role because she did not know it was for Wonder Woman.
While sitting in a trailer on her own waiting to be called, Gadot’s nerves began to grow.
The actor recalled: “Waiting is my enemy no. one, and I was losing my mind,”
The star explained that she could only think of one thing which could calm her down: Beyoncé.
“I decided to put on Beyoncé. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!”
It is unclear if the two wonderful woman have met since the singer influenced and inspired Gadot.
When quizzed about Diana’s life with her fellow Amazons – who are all female and live on the fictional island of Themyscira – Rucka said that the superhero had “obviously” been in same-sex relationships.
“When you start to think about giving the concept of Themyscira its due, the answer is, ‘How can they not all be in same sex relationships?’ Right?” he told Comicosity.
“It makes no logical sense otherwise,” he added.
“But an Amazon doesn’t look at another Amazon and say, ‘You’re gay.’ They don’t. The concept doesn’t exist.
“Now, are we saying Diana has been in love and had relationships with other women? The answer is obviously yes.”
Fans were overjoyed by the news, but were disappointed to learn that her sexuality would not be celebrated in the blockbuster that Gadot is set to star in.
