Kathy Griffin fired by CNN, loses endorsements and tour date after vile Donald Trump ‘beheading’ stunt
Comic Kathy Griffin has been sacked from her job for a vile stunt.
The 56-year-old shocked America when she posed for photographs holding a bloodied, ‘beaheaded’ Donald Trump.
The graphic image caused an uproar, with prominant Trump critic Griffin being forced to apologise for the ‘stunt’ in a grovelling video.
She has now been fired for the stunt by CNN.
The channel had employed her to host their New Year’s Eve show with Anderson Cooper since 2007, but has now said she will not be hosting their show again.
A CNN spokesperson called the photos “disgusting and offensive.”
Cooper said he was “appalled by the photo shoot.”
“It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate,” he wrote on Twitter.
