Paramedic claims devastating fire was caused by same-sex marriages

A paramedic has claimed that a blaze which has devastated a town in South Africa were caused by same-sex marriage.
The paramedic, going by the Facebook name of Bossie Boshoff, took to Facebook to ask whether anyone remembered the fact that a dozen same-sex couples were married in one day during a Pride event back in 2016.
The marriages took place in the town of Knysna, where Cape fires which have devastated the town and killed seven.
Writing on Facebook, Boshoff said: “It was just after the elections of the Dutch Reformed Church where they approved homosexual marriage… It was all over the newspapers… God was taunted with it… They should not cry about the fires now… God won’t allow himself to be made a fool of … !!!.”
The weddings took place in the Pink Loerie Mardi Gras and Arts Festival.
Over ten thousand people were evacuated in the town of nearly 80,000.
Seven have died including a three-year-old child and a firefighter.
Boshoff is a Netcare911 paramedic, but the company has confirmed that he has now been suspended.
The company referred to the “paramedic’s unacceptable comments,” in a statement which distanced it from the incident.
“Netcare and Netcare 911 have a firm, zero tolerance stance towards discrimination of any kind. We will not hesitate to take the strongest possible action when made aware of any action, and or behaviour, of a staff member which transgresses the company’s values, ethics and code of conduct,” said Craig Grindell, the company’s managing director.
Boshoff has since deactivated his Facebook account.
A pastor earlier this year said he was worried that people who have sex with animals are going to team up with homosexuals to take over the world.
The biggest-selling newspaper in Russia also this year made a bold claim against newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron, calling him a gay psychopath.
