Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui opens up about being a part of the LGBT community

Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui has opened up about how her life has changed since coming out as bisexual last November.
The singer came out in a brutal letter to Donald Trump and his supporters after he was elected as the next President of the United States.

In her letter, Lauren said, “I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it.”
“It’s hard to accept yourself when you live in a world where nobody is like you,” Lauren has now said in an interview with The Sun.
“Or you feel like nobody is like you because there’s no representation.”
In her previous coming out letter Lauren had addressed the views Trump has regarding members of the LGBT community and the regressive policies he wished to introduce.
Lauren also discussed the discriminatory behaviour and ideals that members of the Republican party had shown.
Since Lauren has come out she couldn’t be happier with the reactions and support she has received from her parents and her fans across the world.
“Coming into my own and being comfortable with myself really changed me as a person. And made me more confident and vibrant,” she said.
Lauren said her parents are “such loving, supportive people, they just love me and who I am”.
“A bunch of my fans have come up to me and said, ‘because of you and because you came out, I have finally begun to accept myself’,” she said.
“That is infinitely incredible for me. I didn’t expect to get to the point where I would own to it within myself.”
While working on Fifth Harmony’s new single ‘Down’ featuring Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, Lauren collaborated with singer Halsey on a same-sex love song, ‘Strangers’.
‘Strangers’ featured on Halsey’s latest album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.
During her interview, Lauren revealed which member of the LGBT community she would like to work with next.
“I’d love to write with Sam Smith. Fifth Harmony and Sam Smith would be amazing,” she said.
