Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, Brooklyn Beckham follow Adele in meeting Grenfell Tower survivors
The Queen has paid tribute to the victims and survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire.
She was joined by her grandson, second in line to the throne, Prince William, on the visit to a nearby refuge centre.
30 people have so far been confirmed dead in the blaze, which has destroyed the huge 24-storey block of flats in west London.
The Queen and Duke of Cambridge met volunteers, residents and community representatives at Westway Sports Centre, North Kensington.
The Queen paid tribute on Thursday to the “bravery” of firefighters and the “incredible generosity” of volunteers now offering support.
18-year-old Brooklyn Beckham also visited the scene to pay tribute.
The son of David and Victoria Beckham lives nearby in West London.
He looked visibly emotional on his visit to the site, during which he read messages from loved ones left outside the tower block.
The tower block was ablaze for 24 hours , with more than 200 fire fighters working to tackle the fire.
More than 50 people are thought to be dead, with some claims it over 100 people.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, but it has been claimed that an exploding fridge led to one floating catching light.
Some residents say they had reported safety concerns as much as four years ago, but their complaints went unanswered.
Among the survivors were a gay couple who had a miracle exit.
The Queen’s visit comes after Adele turned up to the scene of the tragedy Wednesday night.
The multi-million selling artist was pictured by a fan embracing victims and offering support.
The pop star, originally from Tottenham, north London, turned up to attend a vigil held in the shadow of the tragedy.
The singer has made no public declaration of her visit, instead choosing to quietly meet and offer help to victims.
It is also claimed her husband, Simon Konecki, joined her on the visit.
“Adele was spotted at Grenfell Tower today offering her support to everyone affected by the tragedy,” one fan account posted.
The post was accompanied by pictures appearing to show the Hello star at the scene.
Fans have praised Adele’s low-key appearance at the scene.
