Bisexual threesome turns deadly in bloody ‘revenge’ killing
A bisexual threesome turned deadly yesterday after one of the men was beaten with baseball bats and stabbed three times.
Manos Ikonomidis, 20, was killed by a gang of three men after having sex with Jack Doherty, 21, and an unidentified woman, in Brooklyn on Monday.
Doherty was reportedly being questioned by police, but was not a suspect.
Police sources said the woman – who has not been identified – became irate after one of the men started filming the threesome.
She was driven home by Doherty. On the way, a resident in the building told the New York Daily News that she contacted her boyfriend – who wasn’t in the threesome – and told him she’d been raped.
Police sources said no evidence was found which suggested the sexual encounter was anything but consensual.
Ikonomidis’s girlfriend, who was also not involved in the threesome, then reportedly received an ominous Instagram message reading: “your boyfriend f***ed up and will be taken care of”.
As Doherty got back to the building in which the threesome took place, three other men also arrived, with Ikonomidis still alone in the room.
The victim tried to escape the building, but security cameras show two white men and a black man chasing him with baseball bats. They stabbed him three times and left him to bleed out.
In his final moments, Ikonomidis left bloody handprints on the door of Joy Liguori’s flat as he desperately tried to get the resident’s attention.
“I saw the blood,” said Liguori. “That’s when I told him: ‘God, honey, you’re bleeding.’
“He goes: ‘They stabbed me! They stabbed me twice! They stabbed me!’” she added.
A relative of Liguori’s, Lynne Moeser, said Ikonomidis had been “gushing” blood.
“He says: “They hit me in the head, they hit my head with a bat,’” Moeser recalled.
Ikonomidis apparently told Liguori, 74, not to call the police, but she ignored his request.
Unfortunately it was too late, and Ikonomidis died at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn at 4:33am.
Among the last words he said to Liguori were: “I’m so sorry.”
A blood-stained rug and an aluminum baseball bat labeled “Magnum” were all that was left at scene, with the bat taken into evidence by the police.
No suspects were in custody, reports indicated.
Liguori said she had painful regrets.
“I didn’t do enough, I didn’t save him,” she said.
“I feel so guilty. I don’t know why. I did try. He’s a baby.”
Ikonomidis’ girlfriend arrived at the scene hours after her boyfriend had died.
According to reports, she cried: “Oh, my God, no! My baby, it can’t be f***ing real!
“(Why) didn’t you go home? Why didn’t you listen to me? … He better go to f—ing jail! (Will) you guys get him please? … My baby, my baby, I love you so much,” she added.
Neighbours of Ikonomidis said he was courteous and had wanted to pursue a career in music.
“I’m in total shock. He was such a nice boy,” downstairs neighbour Maria Brancaleone, 54, told the New York Daily News.
“Beautiful boy – always tried to help you out when you needed it.”
