‘Babashook’ is the ultimate Babadook anthem
Pride 2017 has offered up some real gems that we will remember from years to come.

One thing that has been a favourite running theme is the Babadook popping up.
The horrifying monster accidentally became an LGBT icon after a Netflix mixup that categorised the thriller film as LGBT.
Since then, the Babadook has been celebrated globally.
One drag queen, Miles Jai, donned a Babadook outfit for the season 9 finale of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
A different Babadook queen got engaged at Seattle Pride and it was terrifyingly adorable.
The heartwarming meme was even transformed into a dildo called the BabaDong and used to raise money for LGBT awareness.
Indeed, it’s fair to say the Babadook had a successful Pride season and what’s a better way to end it than with a song?
Drag queen Pissi Myles has done just that with “Babashook” the ultimate anthem for everybody’s favourite meme.
The fierce video and song is genuinely stunning aesthetically and might just become our new favourite songs.
The category really is “night time demon realness” with the song.
It includes brilliant lyrics such as “she’s overflowing with pride, let your freak flag fly, your dreams personified.”
“The fiercest queen in the god damn book. The fiercest queen is the babadook,” is also a favourite.
The song was published just a few days ago and already has some brilliant reactions.
One person wrote: “Frightening AND fierce all at the same time! Werk mama Myles!”
