Tyler the Creator appears to come out in new track
Rapper Tyler the Creator who has been involved in controversy over anti-gay lyrics in the past appears to have come out in a new track.
His track āI Aint Got Time!ā was leaked over the weekend along with other tracks from the album āFlower Boyā.
It was leaked two weeks before it is set to be officially released.
In the leaked track, he says: āNext line will have them like woah / I been kissing white boys since 2004.ā
Reports also compared the lyrics to another song leaked, titled āGarden Shedā.
In that track he says: āThat was real love I was in, aināt no reason to pretend / All my friends was lost / They couldnāt read the signs / I didnāt wanna talk / I tell āem my location and they aināt want to walk.ā
But in a previous track, Yonkers, released in 2011, Tyler denies being gay.
He says: āIām not gay, I just wanna boogie to some Marvinā.
The rapper, accused of homophobia for using the word āfaggotā in many of his songs has denied he is anti-gay.
In 2011, he told NME: āIām not homophobic, I just think āfaggotā hurts people. It hits. And āgayā just means youāre stupid. I donāt know, we donāt think about it, weāre just kids. We donāt think about that shit. But I donāt hate gay people. I donāt want anyone to think Iām homophobic.ā
In 2015 he tweeted: āI TRIED TO COME OUT THE DAMN CLOSET LIKE FOUR DAYS AGO AND NO ONE CARED HAHAHHAHAHAā.
And in another tweet about fake reports that he was dating Kendall Jenner, saying ānot possible, weāre both gayā.
He also sold t-shirts which appropriated a white supremacist symbol, replacing it with a Pride rainbow.
