Tyler, The Creator seems to have come out – and people are loving it
Tyler, The Creator has prompted an outpouring of love from his fans following his perceived coming out.
The rapper’s song I Ain’t Got Time! was leaked over the weekend along with other tracks from the album ‘Flower Boy’.
During the song, he says: “Next line will have them like woah / I been kissing white boys since 2004.”
And on the album’s seventh track, “Garden Shed,” Tyler raps: “Garden shed … That is where I was hidin’ / That is what love I was in.
“Ain’t no reason to pretend … Garden shed for the garçons.
“Them feelings I was guarding / Heavy on my mind / All my friends lost / They couldn’t read the signs.”
This isn’t the first time Tyler has talked about coming out – on his 2015 song “F*** IT,” he rapped: “How can I be homophobic when my boyfriend’s a fag?
“And we been hiding in the closet like our passion is fashion / Still trying to come out.”
That same year, he tweeted: “I TRIED TO COME OUT THE DAMN CLOSET LIKE FOUR DAYS AGO AND NO ONE CARED HAHAHHAHAHA”.
But these latest lyrics have been treated by many as Tyler’s coming out announcement.
And fans are delighted.

If Tyler The Creator is gay or bi, I'm proud of him cuz he's actually been open about it for years. Most of you just thought it was a joke.— FreshFaceHoney (@TheeOnlyOciera) July 11, 2017

And in another tweet about fake reports that he was dating Kendall Jenner, saying “not possible, we’re both gay”.
He also sold t-shirts which appropriated a white supremacist symbol, colouring it in with a Pride rainbow and advertising it using a picture of him holding hands with a man.
And there’s this other tweet from last year, which featured a rainbow man emerging from a closet, asking: “Is it safe?”

However, the star denied being gay in 2011, singing on a track called Yonkers: “I’m not gay, I just wanna boogie to some Marvin”.
And Tyler has provoked accusations of homophobia in the past, with GLAAD condemning the artist in 2011 for using the word ‘faggot’ 213 times on his first album.
At the time, he told NME: “I’m not homophobic, I just think ‘faggot’ hurts people. It hits.
“And ‘gay’ just means you’re stupid. I don’t know, we don’t think about it, we’re just kids. We don’t think about that s***.
“But I don’t hate gay people. I don’t want anyone to think I’m homophobic.”
