Paris Jackson is on board with Caitlyn Jenner’s run for Parliament.

Transgender former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner hinted at a run for the Senate earlier this week.

The outspoken conservative has not made a ton of friends in the LGBT community nor the Republican Party with her outspoken comments – but hinted that she would look to be a GOP political candidate.

She confirmed in a radio interview: “Yeah, I would look for a senatorial run.”

There are currently no openly transgender politicians in the US House or Senate, or in any state legislature.

After Jenner’s comments, Paris Jackson tweeted her support.

The model and actress, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, took to Twitter to proclaim her support for Jenner.

She tweeted that “Caitlyn’s got my vote”, citing the lack of transgender candidates.

Jackson added: “I’d rather [Orange is the New Black star] Laverne Cox run for senate but hey beggars can’t be choosers.”

Responding to critics of Jenner’s conservative stance, Jackson added: “I mean I hear the LGBTQ community doesn’t really endorse her, but regardless, having a trans woman in office is still a step forward.”

Jenner transitioned two years ago, revealing her new look on the cover of Vanity Fair.

She became a huge hit and was celebrated for the bravery of going through the experience so publicly.

However her TV series, I Am Cait, flopped in its second season, following a string of positive comments about the Republicans and Donald Trump that alienated some of her core fans.

She has come under considerable criticism from LGBT activists over her support of Donald Trump.

Jenner had originally offered herself as a trans ambassador for the Trump administration.

In an interview with CNN, Jenner said: “As far as LGBT issues, yes, he’s made some mistakes.

“I don’t support him in everything that he does. But we needed to shake the system up.”

Jenner argued that she remains supportive of Trump, though, as the system needed ‘shaking up’.

“To, you know, to have career politicians constantly, the Clintons, the Bushes, run this country. We need to get outside that box and shake things up again.”

When the president repealed an Obama era protection for trans people using the bathroom, Jenner wrote: “From one Republican to another, this is a disaster.

“You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me.”
